Hamed Soleimanzadeh to judge at fest Oberhausen in Germany

Iranian film critic Hamed Soleimanzadeh is to judge at the 68th Int'l Short Film Festival Oberhausen in Germany.

Iranian film critic, writer and filmmaker Hamed Soleimanzadeh has been selected as the jury of the 68th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen in Germany.

Soleimanzadeh has already served as the jury panel of the 2021 Global Nonviolent Film Festival in the US and the Berlin International Film Festival in Germany.

He has also attended the Cannes Film Festival as a jury member of the Fipresci Critics Awards.

Recently, Soleimanzadeh became the member of the Berlin Centre for Advanced Studies in Arts and Sciences (BAS), an institution of the UdK.

Young Iranian film critic has already been selected as a member of the jury panel at several other festivals, including the Schlingel International Film Festival in Germany, the 10th Dytiatko International Children’s Television Festival in Ukraine and the 44th Göteborg International Film Festival in Sweden.

The long list goes on with the River International Film Festival in Italy, the Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival in South Korea, the 17th International Short Film Festival Detmold in Germany, the Kolibri International Film Festival for Childhood and Youth in Bolivia, and the 44th Drama International Short Film Festival in Greece.

Founded in 1954, the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen is considered the oldest short film festival in the world and is one of the largest international platforms for the short form, according to the official website of the festival.

The upcoming edition of the festival will run from April 30 to May 9, 2022.
